Faculty member Christine Stewart, PT, CMPT has been teaching with Herman & Wallace since 2017. She developed and authored the two-day course Menopause Transitions and Pelvic Rehab, next offered as a remote course on August 29-30, 2026, covering the physiological changes of the menopause transition and how clinicians can support patients through them.
Christine Stewart, PT, CMPT graduated from Kansas State University in 1992 and went on to pursue her master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center graduating in 1994. She began her career specializing in orthopedics and manual therapy then became interested in women’s health after the birth of her second child.
Christine developed her pelvic health practice in a local hospital with a focus on urinary incontinence and prolapse. She left the practice in 2010 to work at Olathe Health to further focus on pelvic rehabilitation for all genders and obtain her CMPT from the North American Institute of Manual Therapy. She completed Diane Lee’s Integrated Systems Model education series in 2018. Her passion is empowering patients through education and treatment options for the betterment of their health throughout their lifespan. She enjoys speaking to physicians and to community-based organizations on pelvic health physical therapy.
Christine has been part of the Herman & Wallace faculty since 2017. She recently developed and authored a two-day course entitled Menopause Transitions and Pelvic Rehab. She is an avid runner who loves to hike through National parks with her family.
Menopause Transitions and Pelvic Rehab is a two-day course designed for the clinician who wants to understand the multitude of changes experienced during the menopause transition and how they affect the aging process. According to the North American Menopause Society, an estimated 1.1 billion women worldwide were expected to be postmenopausal by 2025. Despite the size of this population, health care providers are often unsure of how to treat patients experiencing menopause. This course gives clinicians the opportunity to understand the physiological consequences to the body as hormones decline so they can assist their patients in lifestyle habits for successful aging.

Menopause Transitions and Pelvic Rehab
This two-day course is designed for the clinician who wants to understand the multitude of changes experienced in the menopause transition and how they affect the aging process. Topics include cardiovascular changes, metabolic syndrome, bone loss and sarcopenia, neurological changes, Alzheimer’s risk, and urogenital changes, along with hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options, dietary choices, and exercise considerations.

Christine Stewart, PT, CMPT, is a physical therapist who began her career specializing in orthopedics and manual therapy before developing her focus in pelvic health. She practices at Olathe Health, where she treats pelvic rehabilitation patients of all genders. As faculty for Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute since 2017, Christine developed and authored the two-day course Menopause Transitions and Pelvic Rehab, and she regularly speaks to physicians and community-based organizations on pelvic health physical therapy.
