Candace Jarrett has been a PT for 25 years. She graduated from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in PT. She has practiced in a variety of settings including acute care, home health care and outpatient rehab. She has been a Pelvic Floor PT since 2012. She never expected to practice pelvic rehab but discovered she loved it when she volunteered to go to a course when no other therapist stepped up to go within the department. She is now certified as a Pelvic Rehab Practitioner (PRPC) through Herman and Wallace since 2016. She joined Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN in 2014 when she agreed to begin their Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Program. She currently runs the Pelvic Health Program at their MEND clinic which is a wound care & lymphedema clinic. She works with men and women with pelvic floor dysfunction, treating urinary and bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, generalized pelvic pain, chronic pain, pre and post partum symptoms and oncology patients as well. She also does community and provider education to spread the awareness about pelvic health. When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her husband and two children, and perform community volunteer work.
