Emily is a graduate from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors in Exercise Science and a Masters in Health Education, and my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Her passion and love for pelvic health began from self-experience and symptoms during pregnancy. After her experience with a pelvic floor physical therapist her life was changed for the better. After practicing in Texas for 5 years exclusively pelvic health, and beginning a pelvic floor program at UT Health San Antonio, she moved closer to home and is now practicing at Summit Physical Therapy in Wichita, Kansas.
She enjoys treating, teaching and researching all aspects of pelvic health, male and female, pelvic floor dysfunction, bowel, bladder and sexual dysfunction and pain. She is a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) and has a passion for the treatment and care of cancer survivors. She is certified in dry needling and completed her Board-Certification as a Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS).
When not at the clinic you can find me at home or outside with my four children, husband and family, reading a book, family movie nights with the kids and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawks.
