Rocio was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas but her family's roots stem from a loving Mexican culture. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2013. She then developed experience in the adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care units at various hospitals in San Antonio between 2013-2015 in which she gained experience as a critical transport team member that transports sick infants via land and air. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas in 2017.

Throughout her career she has earned Double Board Certifications as a Certified and Registered Respiratory Therapist and Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist. She has earned certifications in Dry Needling, Kinesio-taping, and recently become a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC) and certifications in Pelvic Floor Therapy Levels 1 & 2A from Herman & Wallace.

She has gained experience working in acute care, outpatient, and home health settings for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. She also has experience in vertigo, aquatic therapy, women’s health/pelvic health, neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and post-surgery rehabilitation. She is now more focused on incorporating Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy into her practice as she has found a heavy need for it in the Brownsville, Olmito, Harlingen, San Benito, Los Fresnos, and surrounding areas of Cameron County. Aside from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Sergio and her two boys Mateo and Mason.
